Saskia van Oudheusden is paintings conservator at the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam. She obtained a MA in Cultural Studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen in 2010 and a MA in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Amsterdam in 2012, specialising in paintings. She wrote her master thesis about the wax-resin lining method of the Dutch restorers J. A. Hesterman (1848-1916) and sons. As a paintings conservator and researcher she has worked for several museums and institutions including the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) and the University of Amsterdam. Currently she works as a conservator at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
